UBC PONDEROSA COMMONS

UBC’s Ponderosa Commons is a landscape designed for relaxation. To resemble UBC’s natural surrounding, the center of the commons is covered in lush fern accompanied by elaborate stone walkways. It also features a large ponderosa pine tree within the courtyard. The exterior of Ponderosa Commons is defined by a sprawling lawn accompanied by, apple trees, red oaks, grasses, and lady ferns. Another intricate feature resides near the base of the sloped landscape, displaying Hanami wood benches on top of flat stone surrounded by dwarf grasses such as Corsican sandwort, Sedum Baby Tears, and Brass Button.
